Burlington Heights was built in the early 1960s. It started with 112 homes. These homes had different designs, making the neighborhood unique. A company called Peter Petillo and Associates from Freehold designed them.

This community is located on the east side of Freehold Township. It sits along Colts Neck Road, which is also known as County Route 537. You can find it close to New Jersey Route 18. It is also near the border of Colts Neck Township.
