Burst Ball Barrage!! Super B-Daman (爆球連発！！スーパービーダマン, Bakkyū Renpatsu!! Sūpā Bī-Daman) is a fun Japanese manga and anime series. It's based on the cool B-Daman toys made by Takara. These toys shoot marbles in exciting battles! The manga first came out in 1995 in Coro Coro Comics magazine. Later, an anime TV show was made by Xebec. It aired on TV Tokyo from January to October 1999.

Meet the Characters of Super B-Daman
This section introduces the main characters. You'll learn about their personalities and their special B-Daman toys.
Team Guts: The Heroes
Team Guts is the main group of heroes. They start with three members for their first big tournament. Later, two more friends join them to compete against other teams.
Original Team Members
- Tosaka Tamago
- Tamago is a super energetic fifth-grader. He loves everything about B-Daman and their battles. He sees his B-Daman as his best friend. Tamago truly believes in the spirit of B-Daman players.
- He always plays fair and has his own unique style. Tamago respects all B-Daman players. He would never let anyone disrespect the B-Daman spirit.
- Tamago has owned eight different B-Daman in the series. All of his B-Daman are Power-Type. This means they are built for strong shots! Here are some of his B-Daman:
- White B-daman (His first B-Daman)
- Fighting Phoenix (An upgraded B-Daman)
- Battle Phoenix (A powerful PI B-Daman)
- Combat Phoenix (An even stronger PI-EX B-Daman)
- Guardian Phoenix (A tough RE B-Daman)
- Speed Phoenix (A fast R-Unit B-Daman)
- Vanguard Phoenix (A strong E-Unit B-Daman)
- Smash Phoenix
- Tamago can be a bit clumsy and innocent sometimes. He always looks at the bright side of things. He might not be the smartest, but his instincts and power are amazing!
- Nishibe Gunma / Sniper Gunma of the West
- Gunma is Tamago's best friend and rival. He is a famous B-Daman player from Kanzai. People call him "Sniper Gunma" because of his amazing accuracy. He is also known for his super-fast firing skills.
- Gunma is very smart and plans everything carefully. His strategies usually work perfectly. He can even come up with crazy plans to win battles. He is often seen as the leader of Team Guts.
- Unlike Tamago, Gunma is more grown-up and logical. He thinks about both the good and bad parts of a situation. But when he's with Tamago, Gunma sometimes tries wild, impossible tactics. He believes Tamago's spirit makes anything possible.
- Gunma has six main B-Daman. They all help him with his rapid-fire and accurate shots.
- Magnet Bomber (His first B-Daman)
- Wild Wyvern (An upgraded OS B-Daman)
- Valiant Wyvern (A rapid-fire PI B-Daman)
- Spread Wyvern (A rapid-fire PI-EX B-Daman)
- Flash Wyvern (A rapid-fire RE B-Daman)
- Gunma can be short-tempered. He also gets clumsy like Tamago sometimes. He hates being made fun of for being on an unknown team. Gunma's only weakness is that he's scared of ghosts!
- Sarah / Magician Sarah
- Sarah is another key member of Team Guts. She is known for her magical style of play. Her B-Daman include:
- Golden B-daman
- Stagg Sphinx
- Stagg Cerberus
- Power Sphinx
New Members of Team Guts
Two new members join Team Guts later on:
- Kazama Yoshinori / Billy the Wild Wind of the East
- Billy is known for his speed and unique B-Daman. He uses a special "2 Bomber System."
- 2 Bomber System B-daman
- Blast Eagle and Blast Lion, which combine to form Blast Griffon
- Phantom Eagle and Phantom Lion, which combine to form Phantom Griffon
- Mirage Eagle and Mirage Lion, which combine to form Mirage Griffon
- Negota Nekomaru
- Negota uses a Bomber System B-Daman.
- Hunting Lynx
Team Guts' Helper
The team gets help from Dr. Tamano. He is a smart scientist from the JBA (Japan B-Daman Association). Dr. Tamano creates new B-Daman systems. Even though he's a scientist, he sometimes acts childish to get attention from Team Guts.
