History of Bush
Bush was started in 1902. It was named after Benjamin Franklin Bush. He was an important person in railroads and mining. He later became the president of a big railroad company. The village grew up around a coal mine that opened the same year. A railroad line reached Bush in 1903. A post office opened in 1904. The community officially became a village in 1905.
