Córdoba is a small town and municipality in Colombia. It is located in the eastern part of the Quindío Department. This charming place is about 24 kilometers (15 miles) southeast of Armenia, which is the capital city of the department.

The Story of Córdoba
Córdoba was founded in 1927 by two people named Jesús García and Jesús Buitrago. It became its own municipality in 1966. This means it became an independent local government area. Before that, it was part of Calarcá.
In 2023, about 5,888 people lived in Córdoba. It is one of the smallest municipalities in the Quindío Department. Only Buenavista and Pijao have fewer people.
Where is Córdoba Located?
Córdoba is surrounded by other towns and areas. To the north, it shares a border with Calarcá. To the south, it is next to Pijao. On its west side, you'll find Buenavista. To the east, Córdoba borders the Tolima Department.
