Cacheu is a region located in the western part of Guinea-Bissau, a country in West Africa. It shares a border with Senegal. The main city and capital of this region is also called Cacheu.
In 2009, about 192,508 people lived in the Cacheu region. It covers an area of about 5,174.9 square kilometers (1,998.0 square miles).
