What is the Legend of Ifan Goch?
Local stories tell us about a giant named Ifan Goch. One legend says he used to sit on this very ledge. He would dip his feet into the River Conwy below to cool them down!
Another fun story about Ifan Goch is even grander. It says he was so big he could stand with one foot on Cadair Ifan Goch. His other foot would be on Pen-y-Gaer, which is on the opposite side of the valley. From this giant stance, he could easily wash his face in the river. These legends make Cadair Ifan Goch an even more magical place to visit!
