Cadbury Fingers are yummy chocolate biscuits that are very popular in the United Kingdom and Ireland. They are long, thin biscuits covered in delicious chocolate. These tasty treats are made in the United Kingdom by the Burton's Biscuit Company. They are then sold by Cadbury UK all over the world! You can find them in places like North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Since March 2013, Cadbury Fingers have also been sold in Australia.

Fingers usually come in rectangular boxes. Inside, the biscuits are neatly placed in a plastic tray, sealed to keep them fresh. Sometimes, you can even find bigger boxes with two or three trays inside. A typical box has about 24 Fingers.

The Cadbury Fingers we know today first appeared in 1951. But did you know that a similar biscuit was part of a Cadbury biscuit collection way back in 1897? By late 2012, Cadbury Fingers was a very successful brand, worth about £40 million. It was the top brand in the "special treats" biscuit group.

Each single Cadbury Finger has about 30 calories. It also contains 1.5 grams of fat and 3.4 grams of carbohydrates. Cadbury suggests that one serving is usually four fingers.

How Cadbury Fingers Are Advertised

Cadbury Fingers have had some fun advertisements over the years.

Famous Comedians in the 1990s

In the 1990s, comedians like Michael Barrymore and Barry Humphries (as his character Dame Edna Everage) appeared in adverts. They sang songs about Cadbury Fingers. They also made sure to mention that the chocolate coating was Cadbury Dairy Milk.

The "Thumb" Adverts in the 2000s

In the early to mid-2000s, the adverts featured a main character: a Thumb! This Thumb always tried to stop people from eating Cadbury Fingers, but it never worked. The slogan for these adverts was "It's a finger thing." These ads were even sponsored by Channel 5 during movie premieres until 2005. Some packs even came with a sticker of a face that you could put on your own thumb!

"One May Lead to Another" Campaign

In late 2006, the packaging for Cadbury Fingers was updated to look simpler. A new slogan appeared: "one may lead to another." The adverts showed how one Finger would fall, then another, and another, suggesting you can't stop at just one!

Finger Puppets in 2010

In October 2010, a new advertising campaign began. Cadbury invested £4 million into the brand. This campaign featured main "Fingers puppets" that celebrated good times. They were shown at music concerts and sporting events, highlighting their amazing skills.
