The Story of Cadbury Snack
Cadbury Snack has been around for a long time! In the United Kingdom and Ireland, you could find a few different kinds.
Different Types of Snack
- Snack Shortcake: This one has a chocolate-covered shortbread biscuit. It usually comes in a yellow wrapper.
- Snack Wafer: This version had chocolate-covered wafer fingers. It used to come in a pink wrapper. However, Cadbury stopped making the Snack Wafer in 2015. This was because not enough people were buying it.
- Snack Sandwich: This is a single bar with chocolate and biscuit, a bit like the old Jacob's Club biscuit.
Snack Through the Years
In the 1970s, there was also a Cadbury Snack Finger. These were chocolate-covered fingers that came in a blue wrapper. You can learn more about them at Cadbury Fingers. Later, in the 2000s, Cadbury sometimes made special, limited-edition versions of the Snack.

Cadbury Snack in Australia
In Australia, the Cadbury Snack is a bit different!
A Block of Flavours
The Australian version is called the Cadbury Dairy Milk Snack block. It's a chocolate bar with six pieces. Each piece has a different flavour inside! You can find strawberry, pineapple, orange, coconut ice, Turkish delight, and caramel. Each square piece even has a different shape to match its flavour.
Sizes and History
These blocks come in two sizes: about 135 grams (4.8 oz) and 200 grams (7.1 oz). The Australian Cadbury Snack started being made in 1974. Before that, a company called MacRobertson's made a similar chocolate. In June 2009, Cadbury made the bars a little smaller.
