Cadbury Snowflake facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Cadbury Snowflake was a chocolate bar made by Cadbury. It was a special treat that had crumbly white chocolate inside. This white chocolate was then covered with smooth milk chocolate. It was like a version of the Twirl bar, but with white chocolate in the middle.

The Story of Snowflake

The Cadbury Snowflake was first launched in August 2000. It was sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Each bar weighed about 32 grams, making it a small, bite-sized chocolate. In 2003, Cadbury changed its name to Flake Snow. The chocolate bar was stopped being sold in the UK and Ireland in 2008. However, it was later launched for the first time in Australia in 2015.

How Snowflake Was Advertised

Companies often use special events to help promote new products. The Cadbury Snowflake was promoted during the wedding of TV presenter Anthea Turner and her husband, Grant Bovey. They had an agreement with OK! magazine for exclusive photos of their wedding party. Pictures published in the magazine showed the couple with the new Cadbury Snowflake bar. The magazine even sent out a photo to other news outlets, saying that readers could get a free Cadbury Snowflake if they bought the magazine. This helped many people learn about the new chocolate bar.
