Caenagnathasia (say "See-nag-NAY-thay-zee-ah") was a small dinosaur that lived a long, long time ago. Its name means 'recent jaw from Asia'. This dinosaur was part of a group called oviraptorosaurs.
About Caenagnathasia
Caenagnathasia was not a very big dinosaur. It was only about 1 meter (3 feet) long. That's about the size of a small child! It weighed around 8 kilograms (18 pounds). That's like carrying a heavy backpack.
What Did It Look Like?
Like other oviraptorosaurs, Caenagnathasia had three fingers on each hand. It also had three toes on each foot. Its bones were put together in a way that was similar to how bird bones are. This might mean it was related to birds.
When and Where Did It Live?
Caenagnathasia lived during the Upper Cretaceous period. This was about 90 million years ago! That's a very long time before humans existed. Its fossils have been found in Asia.
