Caldas is a town and a municipality (a type of local government area) in the Antioquia Department of Colombia. It is part of a larger urban area known as The Metropolitan Area of Medellín. Caldas is also home to the main church office for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Caldas. In 2020, about 83,423 people lived there. Caldas is very close to the big city of Medellín, only about 30 minutes away.
