Caleb's Rugby League Journey
Early Days and Junior Career
Caleb was born in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia. He started playing junior rugby league for the Ballina Seagulls team. After showing great talent, he was signed by the Brisbane Broncos.
When he moved to Brisbane, Caleb went to Wavell State High School. He was a very promising young player. He even represented his state, Queensland, in special teams. He played for the Queensland Under 16's team in 2009. Later, in 2011, he played for the Queensland Under 18's team.
In 2011, Caleb also played for the Broncos' NYC team. This team is for younger players who are still developing their skills.
Joining the Gold Coast Titans
In 2012, Caleb decided to join the Gold Coast Titans club. He continued to play for their NYC team until 2013. After that, he moved up to play for their senior team in the Queensland Cup competition. This team was called the Tweed Heads Seagulls. He played for them in 2014.
Making His NRL Debut
Caleb made his big debut in the NRL in 2014. This was during Round 14 of the 2014 NRL season. He played for the Gold Coast Titans against the Melbourne Storm. He came off the bench as a substitute player. The Titans lost that game 24–20 at Cbus Super Stadium.
Caleb didn't play another first-grade game until the very last match of the 2014 season. This was in Round 26 against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. He was added to the team at the last minute. This happened because a long-time Titans player, Luke Bailey, couldn't play due to an injury. The Titans won that exciting game 19–18 in extra time!
Caleb finished his first year in the NRL having played in two matches for the Gold Coast Titans during the 2014 NRL season. In 2015, he continued to play for the Tweed Seagulls in the Queensland Cup. Later, he also played for the Narrabri Blues in a country rugby league competition.
