Calidonia is a special area, or corregimiento, located right inside Panama City. It is part of the Panamá District in the Panamá Province of Panama. In 2010, about 19,108 people lived there.
Calidonia was once home to many immigrants from the British Caribbean islands. While fewer people of British Caribbean descent live there now, some families and their businesses are still a part of the community.
Population Changes
Calidonia's population has changed over the years. In 1990, about 23,974 people lived in the area. By 2000, the number had gone down to 19,729 residents. In 2010, the population was 19,108. These numbers show how communities can grow and shrink over time.
