Panamá is a province in the country of Panama. It is home to the nation's capital, Panama City. This city also serves as the capital of the province itself. The current governor of Panamá Province is Judy Meana. She was chosen by President Laurentino Cortizo and started her role on April 16, 2020.

How Panamá Province is Organized

Panamá Province is split into smaller areas called distritos (districts). There are 6 districts in total. These districts are then divided even further into 55 corregimientos.

Before January 1, 2014, Panamá Province was bigger. Five of its districts, located west of the Panama Canal, were separated to create a new province called Panamá Oeste Province.
