Panamá Oeste (which means "West Panama" in English) is the newest province in the country of Panama. It was formed on January 1, 2014.
This province was created from five areas that used to be part of Panamá Province. These areas are located west of the famous Panama Canal. The main city and capital of Panamá Oeste is La Chorrera.
