Veracruz is a lively community located in Panama. It is a type of local division called a corregimiento. Veracruz is part of the Arraiján District in the Panamá Oeste Province. In 2010, about 18,589 people lived there.
Population Growth
Veracruz has seen its population increase steadily over the years. In 1990, about 8,224 people called Veracruz home. By 2000, this number had grown to 16,748. Then, in 2010, the population reached 18,589. This growth shows that more and more people are choosing to live in this area of Panama.
Education
Veracruz is home to an important international school. The Lycée Français Paul Gauguin de Panama is located here. This school teaches students using the French education system. It is found in an area called Panama Pacifico within Veracruz.
