Cammack is a small, unincorporated community located in Delaware County, Indiana. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Mount Pleasant Township.
The History of Cammack
Cammack was started a long time ago, in the year 1882. A man named David Cammack built a sawmill there. A sawmill is a place where logs are cut into lumber. This lumber was used for building things.
Sadly, the sawmill burned down in 1893. It was never rebuilt after the fire.
A post office was also opened in Cammack in 1882. This office helped people send and receive mail. However, the post office closed its doors in 1907.
