Camp Point is a small village located in Adams County, Illinois, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,121 people lived there. It is part of the larger Quincy area, which includes parts of Illinois and Missouri.

The History of Camp Point
Camp Point was started in 1835 by a person named Peter Garrett. It was first known as Garrett's Mills. A school house was built here in 1836. Later, a family called the Farlows helped to build and grow the town even more.
