Cane is a small town, also known as a municipality, located in Honduras. It is part of the La Paz area, which is like a big region or state within Honduras.
The exact number of people living in Cane changes, but it's thought to be around 4,000 residents. The current leader of Cane is Mayor Jose Tejeda. He is well-liked because he has helped improve the town a lot.
Mayor Tejeda has given a lot of money to create a beautiful central park. This park has places to sit, trash cans, and even a taco stand. He is also working on paving the roads in Cane, which used to be all dirt. These improvements make the town a nicer place to live.

Cane has schools for students of different ages. There is one early learning center for young children. There is also one primary school for elementary-aged kids. For older students, there is one secondary school.

A smaller number of people are White. There are also Indigenous people, mainly from the Lenca group. A small number of people are Black or Afro-Honduran. This mix of people makes Cane a diverse community.
