Cantallops is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is a municipality, which is like a local government area. It belongs to the comarca (a region) called Alt Empordà in the Province of Girona.
Cantallops is located near the Albera Range mountains. A road called GI-601 connects it to the nearby town of La Jonquera.

History of Cantallops
Ancient Castle and Bell Tower
The town of Cantallops grew up around an old castle. Records show this castle existed as far back as the 1200s. Today, most of the castle is gone.
Only a small part of its wall and one tower remain. In the 1800s, this tower was changed. It became the bell tower for the local church, Sant Esteve.
