Grevenmacher is a canton located in the eastern part of Luxembourg. Think of a canton as a large administrative area, a bit like a county. Its main town, and also its capital, is called Grevenmacher. This town is also a "commune," which is like a local municipality.
The canton gets its name from this main town. It's important not to mix up the canton of Grevenmacher with the former Grevenmacher District. That district was a bigger administrative area that used to exist in Luxembourg but was removed in 2015.
