The Cape Melville tree frog (Ranoidea andiirrmalin) is a special kind of tree frog that lives in Australia. You can find it in the Melville Range mountains, which are located on Cape Melville in Queensland.

What is the Cape Melville Tree Frog?

This frog is known for living in a very specific place. It prefers areas with lots of large rocks and boulders, usually close to rainforests. Imagine a field of giant stones where these frogs make their home!

Why is it Hard to Study?

Studying the Cape Melville tree frog is quite a challenge for scientists. The mountains where they live are very difficult to climb. This makes it hard for researchers to reach their habitats and learn more about them. Because of this, we don't know as much about these frogs as we do about other species.

Where Do They Live?

As of 2004, these frogs had only been found in four different streams within the Melville Range. This shows how rare and unique they are. Scientists are still working to understand more about their lives and how to protect them.
