Carey Jason Phillip Hart (born July 16, 1974) is an American off-road truck racer. He used to be a professional freestyle motocross and motorcycle racer. He is famous for being the first person to try a backflip on a 250cc motorcycle in a competition. He also owns a company called Hart & Huntington Tattoo & Clothing Company.

Carey Hart's Racing Career
Carey Hart became a professional motorcyclist when he was 18. He started racing in the AMA Supercross series. Before that, he had a serious accident where he broke many bones.
Hart was one of the first riders to compete in Freestyle Motocross (FMX) in 1996. FMX is a sport where riders do tricks while jumping their motorcycles. He was the first to do a trick called the "superman seat grab" at events in 1998–99. He also invented a trick called the "invert superman" seat grab at the 1999 Gravity Games. This trick is now known as the "Hart Attack". In 1999, Hart won a bronze medal at the Summer Gravity Games and a gold medal at the Australian X Games.
Trying the Motorcycle Backflip
At the 2000 Gravity Games, Hart tried the first-ever backflip on a 250cc motorcycle during a competition. He didn't land it perfectly, but he was the first to attempt it. In 2000, Hart won several FMX competitions.
At the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia, Hart tried the backflip again. He crashed badly and got many injuries, including broken bones. It was at this event that he met his future wife, the singer Pink. In 2002, Hart won another gold medal at the Australian X Games. He also won a silver medal in the MotoX Best Trick at the Summer X Games in Los Angeles.
In 2002, at the X Games in Philadelphia, Hart successfully landed the backflip in the best trick competition. He won a silver medal for it.
Injuries and Recovery
In 2003, Hart joined the Tony Hawk's Boom Boom HuckJam tour. He got seriously hurt on the first night. He broke both his arms and legs. This crash stopped him from competing for three years.
Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company
In 2004, Carey Hart and John Huntington opened the Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company in Las Vegas. A TV show called Inked on the A&E network followed Hart and his tattoo shop. The company also started a clothing line.
Over the years, Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company opened more stores in places like Hawaii, Cabo, and Orlando.
Other Ventures and Achievements
In 2005, Hart was a host for ABC's X Games FMX TV coverage. He also appeared on the VH1 reality show The Surreal Life.
In 2007, Hart started his own supercross team, the H&H/Rockstar Moto Team. He was also a rider on this team.
In 2008, Hart helped create a nightclub in Las Vegas called "Wasted Space". He also released a book called "Inked: The book" about people's tattoo stories.
In 2009, Hart started the Hart and Huntington Off-Road team, which races short course trucks. He competed in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. He finished 6th and was nominated for "Rookie of the Year".
In 2011, Hart received the R.A.D. Lifetime Achievement Award. He also hosted the MTV2 show “Burn Out”.
Before the 2012 X Games, Hart announced that the Moto X Speed & Style event would be his last competition. He reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated.
In 2013, Hart's racing team joined forces with Ricky Carmichael and Suzuki to form 'RCH Racing'.

Carey Hart's Personal Life
Carey Hart grew up in Las Vegas. His parents divorced when he was young, and he and his younger brother, Anthony "Tony" Hart, were raised by their father.
Marriage to Pink
Hart started dating singer Pink after they met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After four years, Pink proposed to Hart in June 2005 during one of his races. She held up a sign that said, "Will you marry me?" They got married in Costa Rica on January 7, 2006.
The couple announced they had separated in February 2008. In August 2008, Carey's brother Tony passed away from injuries in a motocross competition. Pink supported Hart during this difficult time.
In March 2009, Hart said he and Pink were "dating" again and trying to work things out. By April 2009, Pink confirmed they were back together after going to marriage counseling.
Carey and Pink have two children. Their daughter, Willow Sage, was born in June 2011. Their son, Jameson Moon, was born in December 2016.
