Main Sights
Hermitage of San Bernat
The Hermitage of San Bernat is a special chapel in Carlet. It was built on the site of an old Muslim king's palace. Legend says the king's son, Bernardo, and his two daughters, María and Gracia, chose to become Christians.
This building has a unique shape. It has a double structure with an outer heptagon (a seven-sided shape) surrounding a circular inner area. Above the inner part, there is a beautiful dome decorated with blue Arabic tiles. These tiles are a common and pretty feature of domes in the Valencian region.
