Carlos Carrera (born on August 18, 1962) is a talented Mexican film director and screenwriter. He is known for making movies that tell important stories.
One of his most famous films is El crimen del Padre Amaro (2002). This movie was so good that it was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. This is a huge honor in the film world! In 2009, he directed a film called Backyard. This movie explored serious social issues and won a special award called a silver plaque at the 2009 Chicago International Film Festival.
