Carlos Manuel de Marques Paião (born November 1, 1957 – died August 26, 1988) was a very talented singer and songwriter from Portugal. He became famous for his catchy songs. In 1981, he even represented Portugal in the big Eurovision Song Contest 1981 with his song "Playback".
Even though he loved music, Carlos Paião was also very smart and became a doctor in 1983! But music was always his biggest passion. Sadly, Carlos Paião passed away in a car accident in August 1988 while returning from a concert. He was only 30 years old.
