Carlos González Peña (born on July 28, 1983) is a Spanish football expert. He used to be a player who defended the left side of the field. Now, he is a coach for the Liga 1 (Indonesia) club Persija Jakarta.
Carlos played in many professional matches. He played 322 games in Spain's second division, scoring four goals. He also played 54 games in the top league, La Liga, scoring one goal. Later in his career, he played professionally in India.

Carlos Peña's Football Journey
Carlos Peña was born in Salamanca, Spain. He started playing football in the youth teams of FC Barcelona. He spent five years there, playing for their younger teams, Barcelona C and Barcelona B.
After his time at Barcelona, he became a professional player. He joined Albacete Balompié in Spain's second division. He played 106 official matches for them over three seasons.
In the 2009–10 season, Carlos moved to Recreativo de Huelva. He was a key player there. After one season, he joined Real Valladolid, a team that had just moved down from La Liga.
Carlos helped Valladolid return to the top league. In his second year, he played 35 games and scored one goal. He made his first appearance in La Liga on August 27, 2012. He came on as a substitute in a 2–0 win against Levante UD.
On May 11, 2014, Carlos scored his first goal in the top league. However, he also accidentally scored an own goal in a tough 4–3 loss. Valladolid ended up moving down a division that season.
On June 25, 2015, Carlos signed a two-year contract with Real Oviedo. This team had just been promoted to the second division.
Later, on December 23, 2016, Carlos joined Getafe CF. He then moved to Lorca FC on July 19, 2017, also in the second division.
On July 29, 2018, Carlos tried playing football outside of Spain for the first time. He joined Indian Super League team FC Goa. In April 2020, he decided to stop playing football professionally.
Carlos Peña: From Player to Coach
After he stopped playing, Carlos Peña started working as a coach. He coached youth teams at CF Lorca Deportiva, UCAM Murcia CF, and Albacete.
On April 16, 2022, he became the main coach for his last club as a player, FC Goa.
In June 2023, Carlos signed on as the new head coach for Ratchaburi F.C. in Thailand's top league. One year later, he moved to Indonesia to coach Persija Jakarta in their top league.
