Location and Nearby Areas
To the north of Carlyss, you'll find the city of Sulphur. A major highway, Interstate 10, runs along the northern edge of Carlyss. You can get onto I-10 from exits 20 and 21. If you drive east on I-10, you'll reach Lake Charles in about 10 miles. If you head west, you'll get to Orange, Texas, which is about 22 miles away.

Louisiana Highway 27 goes right through the middle of Carlyss. This road connects Sulphur to the north with Holly Beach to the south. Holly Beach is on the Gulf of Mexico, about 32 miles from Carlyss.
