Carme Laura Gil i Miró was born in 1935 in Benissanet, a town in Tarragona, Spain. She is a Spanish professor and a politician. From 1999 to 2003, she served as Catalonia's Minister of Education. This means she was in charge of all schools and learning programs in Catalonia during those years.
Carme Laura Gil studied Classical Philology, which is the study of old languages and literature. She also studied Pedagogy, which is the science of teaching. She later became a university professor, sharing her knowledge with students.
Public Service and Education
