Carmel is a small community in West Virginia, located in Preston County. It's called an unincorporated community because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
History of Carmel
Carmel has a bit of history! A post office opened there in 1880. It helped people send and receive mail for many years, closing in 1912. The community probably got its name from Mount Carmel, a famous place in Western Asia.
