Carmen Elizabeth Ejogo (born 22 October 1973) is a talented British actress and singer. She is well-known for her many roles in movies and TV shows. You might recognize her from films like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Selma. She has also starred in popular TV series such as True Detective and Your Honor.

Early Life and Education
Carmen Ejogo was born in Kensington, London, England, on 22 October 1973. Her mother, Elizabeth, was Scottish, and her father, Charles Ejogo, was Nigerian. Carmen went to the Oratory Roman Catholic Primary School and Glendower Preparatory School. Later, she studied at Godolphin and Latymer School.
Acting Career Highlights
Carmen Ejogo started her career on TV as a host for the Saturday Disney morning show from 1993 to 1995. Since then, she has appeared in many films and television series.

She performed four songs on the soundtrack album for the movie Sparkle. She sang "Yes I Do" as a solo. She also sang lead vocals with Jordin Sparks and Tika Sumpter on "Jump", "Hooked on Your Love", and "Something He Can Feel".
Personal Life
Carmen Ejogo was married to American actor Jeffrey Wright from 2000 to 2014. They met while working on the HBO film Boycott. They have two children together: a son named Elijah, born in 2001, and a daughter named Juno, born in 2004.
