Carolina del Pilar Costagrande (born October 15, 1980) is a famous professional volleyball player. She was born in El Trébol, Argentina. Later, she became an Italian citizen. Carolina is known for playing as a Wing Spiker. She played for the Argentine national team from 1999 to 2002. Then, she joined the Italian national team in 2009 and played until 2015.

Carolina Costagrande has had an amazing career in volleyball. She has won many important awards and championships.
Club Successes
In 2013, Carolina won a gold medal at the Club World Championship. She was playing with the team Vakıfbank Istanbul. This was a huge win for her team!
She also played in the 2013–14 CEV Champions League. Her Turkish club, VakıfBank İstanbul, made it to the final match. They won against Eczacıbaşı VitrA Istanbul in the semifinal. However, they lost to Dinamo Kazan from Russia in the championship game. Even though they got silver, Carolina was named the "Best Receiver" of the tournament. This means she was excellent at receiving the ball from opponents' serves and attacks.
National Team Play
Carolina also represented Italy at the 2014 World Championship. Her team played very well and reached the bronze medal match. They played against Brazil but lost in a very close game. Italy finished in fourth place, which is still a great achievement.

- 2011 World Cup "Most Valuable Player": This award means she was the best player in the entire World Cup tournament!
- 2013-14 CEV Champions League "Best Receiver": She was recognized as the top player for receiving serves and attacks in this big European club competition.
Club Team Awards
Carolina has won many championships with her club teams. She helped her teams win gold medals in several leagues and cups:
- She won the CEV Cup with Scavolini Pesaro in 2005-06.
- With Scavolini Pesaro, she won the Italian Championship multiple times (2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10). They also won the Italian Supercup and Italian Cup several times.
- She won the Chinese Championship with Guangdong Evergrande in 2011-12.
- She also won the Asian Club Championship with Guangdong Evergrande in 2013.
- With VakıfBank İstanbul, she won the Club World Championship in 2013. They also won the Turkish Supercup, Turkish Cup, and Turkish League.
She also helped her teams win silver medals (runner-up) in several competitions, showing how consistently strong her teams were.
