Carolina del Pilar Costagrande was born on October 15, 1980, in El Trébol, Argentina. She is a professional volleyball player. Even though she was born in Argentina, she later became an Italian citizen. Carolina played for Argentina's national volleyball team from 1999 to 2002. She then joined the Italian national team in 2009 and played with them until 2015. She is known for her powerful hits as a Wing Spiker.

Playing for National Teams

Carolina first played for the Argentine national team. She was part of the team from 1999 to 2002. Later, she became an Italian citizen. This allowed her to play for the Italian national team. She played for Italy from 2009 to 2015.

Big Wins with Italy

With the Italian team, Carolina won a gold medal. This was at the 2011 FIVB Women's World Cup in Japan. This is a very important international competition.

South American Championships

Before joining Italy, she won silver medals with Argentina. These were at the 1999 and 2001 South American Championships.
