Changes in Ownership

Over the years, Carrows has been owned by several different companies.

  • In 1996, Carrows and its sister restaurant chain, Coco's Bakery Restaurants, were bought by Advantica Restaurant Group.
  • Then, in 2002, Catalina Restaurant Group, Inc. took over both chains.
  • In 2006, a Japanese company called Zensho Co., Ltd. bought Catalina Restaurant Group. Zensho Co., Ltd. had already been running Coco's restaurants in Japan for many years.
  • Later, in 2015, Food Management Partners became the new owner of Catalina Restaurant Group, which included Carrows and Coco's.
  • Finally, in September 2018, Shari's Cafe & Pies took ownership of both Carrows and Coco's. This is why Carrows is now a part of Shari's Management Corporation.

Who Carrows Competes With
