Cartoon Network Arabic (Arabic: كرتون نتورك بالعربية) is a popular television channel for kids and teens. It broadcasts to the Middle East and North Africa. This channel is the Arabic version of the well-known Cartoon Network. It first started broadcasting on October 10, 2010, at 10:10 AM, UAE time. The channel's launch happened at the same time as the opening of Turner Broadcasting System's new offices in Dubai Media City, United Arab Emirates. This company is the local owner of the channel and is part of Time Warner.
You can watch Cartoon Network Arabic for free through satellites like Arabsat and Nilesat. It's different from other Cartoon Network channels in the region that you have to pay for. Those channels, like Cartoon Network MENA and Boomerang (EMEA), are in HD and offer both English and Arabic. Cartoon Network Arabic is a free option with its own unique shows and schedule.

Channel History
How Cartoon Network Arabic Started
Cartoon Network Arabic officially launched on October 10, 2010, at 10:10 AM. This date was chosen to match the opening of Turner Broadcasting System offices. These offices are located in Dubai Media City, United Arab Emirates. Turner Broadcasting System is the company that owns the channel.
Changes in Channel Availability
In December 2015, Turner Broadcasting System made a special agreement with beIN Media Group. Because of this deal, some Cartoon Network channels moved from one TV provider (OSN) to another (beIN Network). This also caused the HD version of Cartoon Network Arabic on YahLive to close. However, the main Cartoon Network Arabic channel was not affected. It remained free to watch on Nilesat and Arabsat/Badr satellites. Even so, Cartoon Network Arabic was also added to beIN as channel 138, using its free signal.
What Shows Are On?
Popular Animated Series
The channel mostly shows animated cartoons from Cartoon Network Studios. You can watch original shows like Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, Adventure Time, and We Bare Bears. They also air movies, short cartoons, and sometimes live-action series.
Language and Content
Currently, Cartoon Network Arabic is only available in Arabic. You cannot switch to English or other languages. This is because the channel uses versions of shows that have already been dubbed into Arabic. The channel broadcasts many of Cartoon Network's own shows, all translated into Arabic.
Cartoon Network Arabic also shows some programs made locally in the Arab world. These are often created through partnerships with Arab production companies. For example, they have worked with Lammtara Pictures from Dubai and Rubicon Group Holding from Jordan. Since the channel is free, it sometimes edits shows. This means they might cut out certain scenes to make sure the content is suitable for all viewers.
Movies and Specials
Starting in November 2011, Cartoon Network Arabic began showing special TV movies and films. These were usually Cartoon Network productions that had been dubbed into Arabic. In January 2013, the channel created a special block called "Cartoon Network Cinema." This block was specifically for showing these movies regularly.
Special Programming Blocks
Cartoonito Block
Turner Broadcasting System Europe added a special block called Cartoonito. This block is aimed at younger children. It launched in Arabic on September 4, 2011. Cartoonito airs every day in the morning. It is available in many homes across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Past Channels: HD and Timeshift
In March 2012, Cartoon Network Arabic became available in High-definition (HD) through the YahLive service. However, this HD channel was shut down in 2016 due to the deal with beIN.
There was also a channel called Cartoon Network Arabic +2. This channel showed the same programs as the main channel, but two hours later. It launched on June 30, 2014, but was closed in January 2016. This closure was also a result of the agreement between Turner Broadcasting System and beIN Media Group.
