The Cashpoint Arena is a cool football stadium in Altach, Vorarlberg, Austria. It's the home field for SCR Rheindorf Altach, a football team that plays in one of Austria's top football leagues.

A Look Back: The Stadium's Story

The Cashpoint Arena was built between 1989 and 1990. It first opened its doors on June 1, 1990, and was originally called the Schnabelholz Stadium.

Over the years, the stadium got some awesome upgrades! In 1998, the main stand, where many fans sit, got a full roof. This keeps fans dry and comfortable during games.

When the team, SCR Rheindorf Altach, moved up to a higher football league (the First League), bright floodlights were added. This meant games could be played at night, which is super exciting!

Later, when the team got promoted again to the even higher Bundesliga, a new stand was built. This new section added 1,800 more seats! The Bundesliga rules say stadiums need at least 3,000 seats, so this upgrade was important. Now, the stadium has over 3,000 covered seats.

The Cashpoint Arena is known for its special vibe. Fans are really close to the field, which makes watching games super exciting! The stadium isn't just for football, though. It also hosts fun open-air concerts and other cool events.

The record for the most people at a game was set in 2006. A huge crowd of 8,900 fans came to watch a match against SK Rapid Wien. That's a lot of cheering!
