Cassi Davis-Patton (born July 31, 1964) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Ella Payne on the TV show Tyler Perry's House of Payne. She also appeared in its spin-off series, The Paynes. Many people know her as Aunt Bam from the Madea movies and plays. Cassi Davis has worked in many projects directed by Tyler Perry.

Cassi Davis was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She went to Spelman College in Atlanta. There, she studied music. She left college just before graduating. This was because she was not allowed to perform religious music for her final concert.

In 2008, Cassi went back to Spelman College. She finished her degree that same year. She often says that her strong Christian faith helped her succeed in her career.

Her Acting Career

Cassi Davis started acting in 1988. Her first role was in the comedy film School Daze. She also appeared in early TV shows like Living Single and Married... with Children. She was also in Kenan & Kel and The PJ's.

Cassi became well-known for her roles in Tyler Perry's movies and plays. These include Madea's Family Reunion and Daddy's Little Girls. She also starred in Boo! A Madea Halloween and A Madea Family Funeral.

In an interview, Cassi shared some personal news. She said she did not have a stroke. Instead, she was diagnosed with Bell's palsy in March 2020. This condition causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in the face.
