Married... with Children was a popular American sitcom (a funny TV show about everyday life). It was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt for the Fox network. The show first aired on April 5, 1987, and ran until June 9, 1997.

This series was the very first show to be broadcast in prime time (the most popular viewing hours) on the new Fox network. It became the longest-running live-action sitcom ever shown on Fox.

The story follows the lives of the Bundy family in Chicago. There's Al Bundy, a dad who used to be a good high school football player but now sells women's shoes. His wife, Peggy, is known for being a bit lazy. They have two kids: Kelly, who is pretty but sometimes silly, and Bud, who is smart and often makes clever remarks.

The show also features their neighbors, Steve and Marcy Rhoades. Al and the Rhoades often find each other annoying, which leads to many funny situations.

Married... with Children ran for eleven seasons, with a total of 259 episodes. Its famous theme song is "Love and Marriage" by Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, sung by Frank Sinatra. This song was originally from a 1955 TV show called Our Town.

In 2008, Entertainment Weekly magazine listed the show as one of the "New TV Classics," placing it at number 94. In May 2022, it was announced that a new animated version of the series was being planned.
