Castle Island is a special type of community called a summer village in Alberta, Canada. A summer village is a place where many people have vacation homes, and the population is usually much higher in the summer months. Castle Island is located on a small island in Lac Ste. Anne, which is a lake. It's also near where the Sturgeon River flows into the lake.

History of Castle Island

Castle Island was first known by a different name: "Constance Island". A person named Charles de Caze chose this island as the spot for his impressive summer home. Because of this grand house, the island later became known as "Castle Island".
