Castorville was a small settlement in Stoddard County, Missouri, that no longer exists today. It's what we call an "extinct town" or "ghost town" because people stopped living there a long time ago. This community was named after the nearby Castor River.

- Years later, in 1866, the post office reopened. This time, it was called "Castorville."
- However, it did not stay open for long and was officially closed down in 1869. After this, the town eventually faded away.
