Catherine Vernice Glover (born July 23, 1964 – died September 24, 2024), known as Cat Glover, was an amazing American artist. She was a professional choreographer, dancer, singer, and rapper. Cat Glover was especially famous for her energetic dance moves and her work with the music superstar Prince.
Early Career and Star Search
Cat Glover first became well-known on a popular TV talent show called Star Search. She performed as part of a dance duo named "Pat & Cat" with her partner, Patrick Allen. Their performances were so good that they made history on the show.
Pat & Cat were the first act ever to get a "Perfect Score" of Four Stars. Cat Glover really stood out in the duo. She won over the audience with her special dance move, which she called "Cat Scat."
Working with Prince
Cat Glover is most famous for her work with the legendary musician Prince in the late 1980s. She played a big role in many of his projects.
She helped create the dances for several of Prince's music videos. Cat Glover also appeared in his concert film, Sign o' the Times. She traveled the world with Prince on his tours, like the Sign o' the Times Tour and the Lovesexy Tour. On these tours, she was a backing singer and a dancer.
Cat Glover also showed off her rapping skills on Prince's albums. She rapped on the song "Cindy C." from The Black Album. She also rapped on the song "Alphabet St." from the Lovesexy album. She was even planning to release her own album with Prince's record label, Paisley Park, but it was never released.

After her time working with Prince, Cat Glover released her own music. In 1989, she put out an EP (a short album) called Catwoman.
She continued her career in cities like London and Los Angeles. Cat Glover kept creating her own music and also continued her work as a choreographer and performer. She worked with other artists, sharing her talent and energy.
