Catherine "Catie" Wayne is an American internet star, vlogger, and voice actress. She is best known for her character Boxxy in her very energetic online videos. She became very popular in late 2008 and early 2009.

Catie Wayne's Online Journey
How Boxxy Started
In January 2008, Catie Wayne made two videos for her friends on a website called Gaia Online. She put these videos on YouTube using the name boxxybabee. Later that year, these videos were shared on other websites, including 4chan.
Because her first videos became so popular, Catie made a third video in January 2009. She uploaded it to her new YouTube channel, also called boxxybabee. In these videos, Catie (as Boxxy) wears a lot of eyeliner. She talks very excitedly about different topics and her experiences, almost like she's thinking out loud.
Boxxy's Videos Go Viral
Boxxy's videos caused a lot of discussion online. Some people really liked Boxxy, while others didn't. This led to many online arguments and even some technical problems for websites. For example, one website was shut down for several hours because of these issues.
On YouTube, Boxxy's popular channel was hacked. Many funny spoofs, parody videos, and remixes of her videos were made and shared online.
In March 2010, a website called Urlesque listed Boxxy as one of the "Most Iconic Internet Videos." She was number 104 on their list.
Regaining Her Channels
On November 25, 2010, Catie uploaded a video clip from the movie Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. She used a new YouTube name, ANewHopeee. In the original movie clip, Princess Leia sends a message. Catie replaced Princess Leia's message with her own request. She asked her fans for help to get back into her old YouTube account, boxxybabee.
On January 10, 2011, she posted a new video on her ANewHopeee account. In this video, she explained that Boxxy started as a fun, exaggerated version of herself. It showed her personality and interests when she first made the videos. But over time, Boxxy became a playful parody of her younger self.
On June 17, 2011, Catie made a third YouTube account called Bodaciousboxxy. She uploaded another video there.
Other Cool Projects
Besides her Boxxy videos, Catie Wayne has worked on other projects. From December 2013 to December 2014, she was a host for a streaming show called Animalist. This show was part of Discovery Digital Networks.
In 2017, Catie used her voice for the character Marsha in the Disney XD show Billy Dilley's Super-Duper Subterranean Summer.
In 2018, Catie also lent her voice to an independent role-playing game called BoxxyQuest: The Gathering Storm. This game makes fun of different parts of internet culture. Catie helped create ideas for the game and also voiced the main character.
