Caulfield railway station is a busy train station in Melbourne, Australia. It's located in the suburb of Caulfield East and first opened way back on 7 May 1879. This station is a major hub for trains heading to different parts of Victoria.
In 2017-2018, Caulfield was one of Melbourne's busiest stations. It had about 4.7 million people passing through it! The station is right next to the Caulfield campus of Monash University and the famous Caulfield Racecourse. It's also listed on the Victorian Heritage Register, which means it's an important historical site.
The station was made a "Premium Station" on 13 June 1996. This means it has better facilities for passengers. For example, it has an enclosed waiting area and ticket offices.
