The Cazenovia Park–South Park System is a super cool collection of parks and parkways in Buffalo, New York. It's located in the South Buffalo area of Erie County, New York. This amazing system of green spaces was designed by a famous landscape architect named Frederick Law Olmsted. He also designed Central Park in New York City!
Olmsted created this system as part of his big plan for Buffalo's parks. It connects different parks with special roads called parkways. This makes it easy to travel between them and enjoy nature.

What Makes Up the Park System?
This park system was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. This means it's a really important historical site! It includes several cool spots:
Heacock Place
This is a small, 3-acre (1.2 ha) park. It's where the Cazenovia Park–South Park System officially begins.
McKinley Parkway
This parkway connects Heacock Place to South Park. It's named after President William McKinley. It used to be called Southside Parkway.
McClellan Circle
This is a 500-foot (150 m) wide area where several roads meet. These roads include McKinley Parkway and Red Jacket Parkway. It's named after General George B. McClellan.
Red Jacket Parkway
This parkway links McClellan Circle to Cazenovia Park. It's named after Red Jacket, a famous speaker from the Seneca people.
Cazenovia Park
This park is shaped a bit like a rectangle. The Cazenovia Creek flows right through it. Cazenovia Park has lots of fun things to do! You can find a branch of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library here. There's also a swimming pool, a golf course, and baseball fields. Some old buildings in the park are the Cazenovia Park Casino (built in 1912) and the Shelter House (built in 1902).
McKinley Circle
This circle is where McKinley Parkway and Dorrance Avenue cross. It connects McKinley Parkway to South Park. It used to be called South Parkway Circle.
South Park
South Park is a large, 155 acres (63 ha) park. Its main entrance is at the crossing of McKinley Parkway and South Park Avenue. This park is home to the amazing Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. People started developing the park for fun activities in 1915. That's when the golf course was added. Important buildings here include the South Park Botanical Gardens Conservatory (first built in 1889, rebuilt in 1930) and the Golf Shelter (around 1927).
