Ceasar C. Mitchell (born in 1968) is an American politician and lawyer. He served as the President of the Atlanta City Council from 2010 to 2018. He also ran for mayor of Atlanta in 2017.
Ceasar Mitchell's Early Life and Education
Ceasar Mitchell grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. His dad was an Atlanta Police Department officer. His mom taught in the Atlanta Public Schools.
Mitchell went to Benjamin Elijah Mays High School. After high school, he studied at Morehouse College. He earned a degree in English and economics there. Later, he went to the University of Georgia School of Law to become a lawyer.

Before becoming President of the Atlanta City Council, Ceasar Mitchell was a council member. He served as a council member for eight years.
Mitchell is also a partner at a large law firm called Dentons. He works on public policy and local government issues there.
