Cecilio Andrés Domínguez Ruiz (born August 11, 1994) is a professional footballer from Paraguay. He plays as a winger for the club Cerro Porteño in Paraguay. He also plays for the Paraguay national team.

Cecilio Domínguez's Football Journey
Cecilio Domínguez started his football career in Paraguay. He has played for several clubs in different countries. These include Mexico, Argentina, and the United States.
Early Career at Sol de América
Cecilio Domínguez was born in Asunción, Paraguay. He grew up playing football at the Sol de América youth academy. When he was 17, he made his first professional appearance. This was on November 20, 2011, in a match against Guaraní.
Just a month later, he scored his first professional goal. It was a last-minute goal that helped his team draw 2–2 against Cerro Porteño. From 2012 onwards, he became a regular player for Sol de América. In 2014, he briefly played on loan for Nacional.
Success with Cerro Porteño
In December 2014, Domínguez joined Cerro Porteño. This was a big move for his career. He quickly became an important player for the team. In the 2016 season, he scored 19 goals. This was his best scoring year at that time. He scored two goals in several matches, showing his skill.
He also did very well in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana tournament. He scored six goals in seven games. This included three goals in one match against Independiente Santa Fe. He finished as one of the top scorers in the tournament.
Playing in Mexico with América
In January 2017, Cecilio moved to Mexico. He signed a four-year contract with the Mexican club Club América. He made his debut there and scored the winning goal in his first game. This was against Veracruz. Later that year, he scored two goals in a match against Pachuca.
Time in Argentina and the MLS
In 2019, Domínguez moved to Argentina. He joined Independiente. This was a big signing for the club.
In 2020, he became the first "Designated Player" for Austin FC. This is a special type of player in MLS. Before joining Austin FC, he played on loan for Guaraní in Paraguay. In 2021, he scored two goals for Austin FC in their first-ever victory. He later left Austin FC in 2022.
Return to Cerro Porteño
After playing for Santos Laguna, Cecilio Domínguez returned to Cerro Porteño in 2023. He continues to play for them today.
International Appearances
Cecilio Domínguez has represented Paraguay at different levels. He played for the Under-17 and Under-20 national teams. In 2014, he was called up to the main Paraguay national team. He made his first international appearance on October 10, 2014.
