Cecilio Andrés Domínguez Ruiz, born on August 11, 1994, is a professional football player from Paraguay. He plays as a winger, which is a type of midfielder, for the club Cerro Porteño in Paraguay. He also plays for the Paraguay national team.

Club Career Highlights
Starting at Sol de América
Cecilio Domínguez grew up in Asunción, Paraguay. He started his football journey in the youth teams of Sol de América. When he was just 17 years old, on November 20, 2011, he played his first professional game. He came into the game as a substitute in a match against Guaraní.
Just a month later, in his second game, he scored his first professional goal. It was a very important goal that helped his team get a 2–2 draw. From 2012 onwards, he became a regular player for Sol de América. In 2014, he was loaned to Nacional for a short time to play in the 2014 Copa Libertadores tournament.
Moving to Cerro Porteño
In December 2014, Domínguez joined Cerro Porteño. This was a big move for him. He quickly became a key player for the team. In 2016, he had an amazing season, scoring 19 goals. He scored multiple goals in several games, showing his skill as a forward.
He also did very well in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana tournament. He scored six goals in seven matches. This included three goals in one game against Independiente Santa Fe. He ended up being one of the top goal scorers in the tournament.
Playing in Mexico with América
In January 2017, Cecilio Domínguez moved to Mexico to play for América. He signed a four-year contract with the club. He made a great start, scoring the only goal in his first game for América. This helped his new team win against Veracruz.
He continued to score important goals for América. In July 2017, he scored two goals in a single game against Pachuca, helping his team win 2–0.
Time with Independiente and Austin FC
In January 2019, Domínguez joined Independiente, a club in Argentina. He became the most expensive player ever bought by the club at that time.
Later, in August 2020, he became the first "Designated Player" for a new team in the United States, Austin FC. This meant he was one of the team's most important players. Before joining Austin FC for their first season in 2021, he spent some time on loan back in Paraguay with Guaraní.
In April 2021, Domínguez scored two goals for Austin FC. These goals helped the team get their very first victory in the league. In 2022, he started the season well with two goals in his first four games. However, he was temporarily suspended by the league due to an off-field incident. He was later allowed to return to training. In July 2022, he left Austin FC.
Return to Cerro Porteño
After playing for Santos Laguna for a short period, Cecilio Domínguez returned to Cerro Porteño in 2023. He continues to play for them, adding to his goal tally and helping his team in the Paraguayan league.
International Career
Cecilio Domínguez has represented Paraguay at different age levels. He played for the Under-17 and Under-20 national teams.
In October 2014, he was called up to play for the main Paraguay national team. He made his first appearance for the senior team a few days later in a friendly match. He has continued to represent his country in international games.
