The Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (often called CHoSTM) is a special department at King's College London. It's where people learn and study the fascinating History of Science, technology, and medicine.
A Look Back: CHoSTM's History
CHoSTM started out as part of Imperial College London. It was one of three departments that together formed the London Centre for the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology. Their first offices were in the Central Library at Imperial College's campus in South Kensington, London, United Kingdom.
The Centre itself was officially created in 1992. However, the study of science history had been taught at the college much earlier, since 1963. In 2007, CHoSTM joined with the Humanities Programme. It was even recognized as a top history department in the UK in 2008 for its research!
Moving to King's College London
Towards the end of 2012, King's College London shared exciting news. They announced that CHoSTM would become a part of their university campus.
