What Makes Centro Lofts Special?
Centro Lofts is quite unique for a modern building in downtown Miami. Unlike most new buildings, it was designed without a large parking garage. This was a very unusual choice. The idea was to encourage people to use other ways to get around.
Designed for Easy Travel
The developers of Centro Lofts wanted residents to rely on public transportation. The building is very close to several public transit options. These include the Metromover, which is a free elevated train system. It is also near the Metrorail, a larger train system. The Miami Trolley also runs nearby. This makes it easy for people living there to travel without a car.
Car Sharing and Nearby Stores
The building also planned to work with a car sharing service called Car2Go. This service lets people rent cars for short periods. However, Car2Go stopped operating in Miami before Centro Lofts opened. Even without car sharing, the location is very convenient. A Whole Foods grocery store is only about one block away. This store was built as part of the Met 3 building project.
Close to Metromover Stations
Centro Lofts is centrally located in downtown Miami. It is about two blocks from several Metromover stations. These include the Miami Avenue, Knight Center, Bayfront Park, and First Street stations. This makes it very easy for residents to explore the downtown area on foot or by public transport.
