Cessières was a small village, also known as a commune, located in northern France. It was part of the Aisne department in the Hauts-de-France region.

On January 1, 2019, Cessières joined with another nearby village called Suzy. Together, they formed a new, larger commune known as Cessières-Suzy. This means Cessières is no longer a separate commune on its own.

• By 1990, the population had grown to 416 residents.
• In 2008, there were around 448 people.
• Just before it merged in 2019, the population was about 474 people.

This shows that Cessières slowly grew bigger over several decades before it became part of Cessières-Suzy.
