Ceylon
History
The story of Ceylon begins in 1858. At that time, a post office was opened in the area, and it was given the name Berlin Station. This name was used for several years.
Later, in 1871, the name of the post office was changed to Ceylon. This new name was inspired by a faraway island nation, which was then known as Ceylon. Today, that country is called Sri Lanka. The post office in Ceylon continued to serve the community until it officially closed in 1904.
