Chai Point is a popular Indian company that sells many kinds of tea and other drinks. It is a cafe chain that focuses on tea-based beverages. In October 2017, the company also started selling its teas online through Amazon.in. This was their first time selling products through an e-commerce website. How Chai Point Started
Chai Point was founded in 2010 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The person who started it was Amuleek Singh. The name "Chai Point" comes from the word "Chai," which is the Hindi word for tea.
Amuleek Singh is the founder and current CEO of Chai Point. He studied engineering at Thapar University in Punjab, India. After that, he worked for Microsoft for some time. Later, he earned a business degree from Harvard University. After finishing his studies, he wanted to start his own business.
Tea is a very important part of many homes in India. People there enjoy many different types of tea. Amuleek Singh wanted to make tea and its packaging more appealing. He aimed to attract people who were already visiting fancy coffee shops.
